• Son of Lt.-Col. Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn of Wedderburn and Birkhill and Edith Moffat.
• Married Patricia Katherine Montagu Douglas Scott, daughter of Lt.-Col. Lord Herbert Andrew Montagu Douglas Scott and Marie Josephine Edwards, on 9 September 1940.
• Died on 1 March 1944 at age 31 at Anzio, Italy, killed in action.

He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England. Educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England. Lieutenant-Colonel of the 1st Battalion, Scots Guards. He fought in the Second World War, decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1944.
