About Lt.-Col. William Mackay
William, Captain in the 1st Lord Reay's Scots regiment serving in the Thirty Years War. He afterwards became Lieut. -Col. of a Swedish regiment, and fell at Lutzen, near Leipzig, in 1632, where also fell King Gustavus Adolphus, under whose banner he fought.
