Jun. 22,, 1650:: John Pearson is born in Reading,, Massachsetts. He is the 4th of 5 children born to John Person and Maudlin Bullard,, firstly 3 girls,, then the 2 boys.
1678:: John Pearson,, A28,, marries Tabitha Kendall,, A18. They go on to have 14 children.
1689:: Lieutenant John Pearson "gave largely of his efforts to the public causes" and was chosen as chairman of the committee appointed for the establishment of the town of Lynnfield and acted in a similar capacity for the construction of the Meeting House on Lynnfield Common. He removed himself to Lynnfield (Lynn End) at this time.The Meeting House would be the gathering place for the transaction of all the civil affairs of the town until the year 1892,, when a new town hall was built. It is still used for town purposes and is in an excellent state of preservation. John,, and also his son James,, were instrumental in the development of the new parish. He further distinguished himself by serving as Representative to the General Court of Massachusetts in 1702-03 and also 1710-11.
1710:: Attained the title of Captain.
Oct. 17,, 1711:: Wife Tabitha,, A51,, dies at Reading,, Mass. She is buried at the Old Burying Ground,, Wakefield,, Section B,, Row 14. She has a Memorial on the FindaGrave site.
Nov. 13,, 1712:: Lft. John Pearson is chosen as a Deacon at The First Congragational Church of Reading.
Dec. 01,, 1714:: John Pearson,, A64,, marries the widow,, Martha Goodwin(Lothrop),, A62,, at Boston,, Suffolk.
Jun. 21,, 1728:: John Pearson dies at the age of 78,, and is buried on the knoll in the graveyard at Lynnfield(Old Burying Ground). He willed his military arms to his sons,, to be divided equally. He bequeathed his Bible to his son,, Captn. James Pearson,, dividing the rest of his books equally among his other children. His will mentions his wife Martha.
Sept. 26,, 1728:: Wife Martha passes 3 mths later. She is buried at Copp's Hill Burying Ground,, Boston,, Mass. with her 1rst husband,, John Goodwin.
