Note: Lieutenant Thomas Talmadge was one of the "proprietors" of New Haven, CT. In 1685, and was elected four times to the town legislature. He served in the Army, and distinguished himself during the defense of Schenectady, N.Y., which was burned in an Indian attack. His brother, Lieutenant Enos Talmadge was killed in that raid on Feb.9,1690.

Biography
Thomas TALMADGE [1][2] was born [3] 17 Oct 1650 in New Haven, CT. He died [4] 1733. Thomas married Elizabeth ALSOP.
Born at New Haven Oct. 17, 1650. One of the proprietors of New Haven in 1685. Elected 4 times to Town Legislature. He was a Sergeant, later a Lieutenant, and distinguished himself in the burning of Schenectady (Feb. 8, 1690) where his brother Lt. Enos T. was killed. Hos. was called "Powder Tom" by the Indians. He married c1675 Elizabeth Alsop (1650-10/12/1719) daughter of Joseph Alsop. They had 7 children
