Märta Arvidsdotter (Sparre över stjärna)

  • Daughter of Arvid Knutsson (Sparre över Stjärna) and Anna Gustafsdotter (äldre Stenbock)
  • By 1508, Olof Kristiernsson remarried to Märta Arvidsdotter (Drake of Intorp), daughter of the Swedish National Council and lawyer Arvid Knutsson (a cousin of Olof's great-grandmother Nils Arvidsson) and Anna Gustafsdotter (Stenbock ää, granddaughter of Margareta Kromme's first husband Olov Stenbock). Dragon, Relatives, by Swedish Biographical Dictionary

Drake, savior families from Småland and Östergötland. Mainly in Småland appear during the late Middle Ages two low-saved families, in the literature called Sunnerbo-Drakarna and Västbo - Drakarna . The former included a. Magnus Birgersson Drake(still living 1465, was d. 1474) to Kalvnäs in Högsby sn (Kalm.), bailiff at Stäkeborg 1427, district chief in Aspeland and Sevede 1448 (cf. Svea Court of Appeal Liber causarum 60, no. 6, National Archives), Another branch owned from the end of the 14th century to into the 16th century Ugglebo in Ryssby sn (Kronob.). The genealogy of the family, which was already disputed in an inheritance process in 1475, is nowhere fully satisfactorily investigated; its weapon was a dragon. It has been stated, but without binding evidence, that from this family would possibly descend the noble family, which was introduced in 1646 and then became called Drake af Torp and Hamra (probably extinct in 1709); the baptismal name Christer used in the latter generation, however, rather indicates kinship with Västboätten. Colonel Johan Christersson Drake af Torp and Hamra belonged to the family, who fell in the battle of Landskrona in 1677. His children include the lieutenant colonel, Fredrik Drake (b. 1660), who fell in the battle of Pultava in 1709 and is mentioned in Heidenstam's short story »Poltava» in »Karolinerna», and Sophia Drake (d. 1741 ), gm Lieutenant Colonel Jon Stålhammar and in literature known as the one sung by Snoilsky in »Svenska bilder» «Frun på Salshult». - Västbo-Drakarnas (weapon: flying dragon) ancestor Kristiern Drake is said to have married Margareta Krumme, widow of the district chief Olof Jönsson (older Stenbocksätten). The son Olof (Kristersson) Drake was for a long time and still in 1518 district chief in Västbo. His grandson in the equestrian master Olof Nilsson Drake (d. 1590) - on the father of the family (coat of arms: chevron over star) s that still survives in. the noble family Stenbock - took the name D., and the family branch introduced 1625 and extinct 1635, is known as Drake af Intorp . About Olof Nilsson's father's cousin ,, Councilor Arvid Knutsson ;, (d. 1497) and his son the gunsmith and district chief Olof Arvidsson (d. 1508), who took up the maiden weapon (Capricorn), see Capricorn. Olof Kristersson D: son (Olof Nilsson D: uncle) Arvid Olofsson Drake (d. After 1532), bailiff in Allbo and östbo, was the father of Märta Arvidsdotter, b. Around 1550 m. Field Colonel Knut Håkansson (Hand); cf. Hand , relatives. Their son the governor Arvid Knutsson Drake (d. Trol. 1618) took the mother's name and became the ancestor of the family Drake af Hagelsrum, see this.
