Madeleine Tallis, nee Atkins, a daughter of Ernest Atkins and Louisa Pepper, had the following nine siblings: Winifred Gertrude, Ernest junior, Keith, Charles Cameron, Arthur Ronald, Thelma Grace, Eugenia, Florence Maud and Marion Ella Louisa (known as Auntie Poppy).

She died, widow and having East Brighton as her last place of residence and was cremated three days after, on November 22, 1985, being J.A. Monkhouse the Funeral Director.
There is a probate record dated February 4, 1986.
