On June 25, 1942, 78 years ago, Mayer Kreinik left for a death camp
Ten years after arriving in Valenciennes, Mayer Kreinik, a Jew from Poland, was deported to Auschwitz. He won't come back. His daughter, Suzanne Leclercq, now Cambrésienne, testifies.

June 25, 1942, at the Pithiviers camp (Loiret). A few hours before leaving for an unknown destination, Mayer Kreinik, a Polish Jew who emigrated to France since 1931, married in Valenciennes town hall in 1937, wrote to his wife and one and a half year-old daughter, which would be his last letter. .
