In 1661 Thomas Catlett witnessed a deed made in Essex Co., VA, by his father John, and step-mother, Elizabeth Catlett. From Land Books at Richmond, VA, Thomas owned 1,000 acres in Spotsylvania Co., VA--Bk. XII, pg. 308.

1672: Thomas Catlett, 50 acres on western branch of Elizabeth River. Essex County VA.

1726: Thomas Catlett, of St. Mary's parish, Essex County, 1,000 acres in Spotsylvania. Essex County land Book XII, pg 368.

21 May 1726: Thomas Catlett, of Essex. His patent of 1,000 acres in Spotsylvania, on the Rapidan river, both sides S. W. Mountain, transferred to Francis Conway, gent., of same Nov. 7, 1727, for 60 pounds. Witness: John Battaile and John Taliaferro. This land Francis Conway, gent., of Essex conveyed to John Taliaferro, of Spotsylvania, same date, Witness: John Battaile, John Taliaferro and Thomas Catlett. Essex County land book XIII.

Thomas transferred this land to Francis Conway, gent. on Nov. 7, 1727 for 60 pounds. Francis Conway then transferred this land on the same date to John Taliaferro of Spotslvania Co., VA.

1728: Major Thomas Catlett, 66 acres in Caroline county, next to Robert Taliaferro. Essex County land Book XIV, pg 512.

1730: Major Thomas Catlett, 1,376 acres in Caroline county, St. Mary's Parish, bounding on Taliaferro and Royston's line and the Golden Vale swamp. Essex County land Book XV.

11 May 1730: Thomas Catlett witnessed a deed from Richard Buckner of Caroline county, planter, to Lawrence Bataille, of same, planter, for 74 pounds, 371 acres in fork of Mattapony, which Buckner purchased of one Shackelford. Spotsylvania County VA records.

19 Oct 1733: Thoams Catlett withnessed a deed from Richard Buckner, of St. Mary's Parish, Caroline county, gent. to William Strother, of King George county, part of a patent conveyed by Augustine Smith to said Richard Buckner and Col. John Catlett. Spotsylvania County VA records.
