Margaret Gaines Pryor (Mrs. John Pryor) supplied goods for the American Revolution. She has been accepted as a patriot by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The DAR does emphasize that there has never been any proof proffered in any application which proves that her maiden name was 'Gaines'. One of her children, Mildred Pryor Womack, married David Womack, Sr. who was a Patroller in the Nash District of North Carolina during the American Revolution.
