Notes for Margaret Thoresby: In the Church of Feltwell St. Marys is a stone stair case that lead, during Blomefield's visit in 1738, "to the old rood - loft, and on the cross pavement lies an old gray marble stone, with the portraiture of a woman in brass, bidding her beads, and on a plate" that is 18.25 inches high. It reads, (translated from Latin), "Margaret Mundeford, wife of Francis Mundeford, who died 26th of March 1520". At some point the memorial was moved to the south wall fo the chancel.
