About Margery de Poynings
See attached PDF (under Sources tab) for a lengthy story of Margery's abduction by Sir John de Dalton from Beaume Manor in March 1347.
Managers of Margery de Poynings,
I follow a Facebook group called "The Poynings Family". Yesterday, the Admin posted an article on Margery Poynings that conflates her story with Marger de la Beche (Poynings). Https://www.geni.com/people/Margery-de-la-Beche/6000000006444394473.
When I asked for sources, the response was a link to an IPM. I sent screenshots of both profiles - the answer was "I spent quite a lot of time on it and it was the only thing that made sense".
In their scenario, the Margery of this profile is carried off by Sir John Dalton and, later, dies leaving a daughter, Margery Bacun - by her 1st husband. No mention of Nicholas de Moleyns. That would make a lot of activity for someone whose age at death ranges between 18-29.
Are there better sources for these two Margerys?
Sincerely,
Linda Wellman
