About Maritje (Mary) Ryerson
" He (Johannes Ryerson) went to Nova Scotia, accompanied by his wife, sons, a daughter and two servants. They left New York Oct., 1783, for Annapolis, Nova Scotia. In 1784 his name appears on the muster-roll of the Loyalists who were recorded in June of that year. He purchased land at Clements, N. S., of John Hall, and lived there about five years."
