(David Boswell) was twice married. By his second wife, Lady Margaret Sinclair, daughter of William, earl of Orkney and Caithness, whom he married in 1480, he had five sons, of whom Thomas, the eldest, was the progenitor of the Boswells of Auchinleck, in Ayrshire.
