Marritje Jacobs Van Winkle was born about 1643 at Hoorn, North Holland, Netherland and died about 1698 at Bergen, Province of New Jersey. She was a daughter of Jacob Walich (Van Winkle) and Tryntje Jacob ? Walich (Van Winkle)/Stoffelse/Tades/Steynmets

Emigration: Emigrant in 1650 from Amsterdam to New Amsterdam with parents.[1]

1. 02 February 1663 at Reformed Dutch Church, New Amsterdam to Pieter Jansen Slot. He was the Son of Jan Pietersen Slot & Aeltje Jans, his 1st wife.
2. In 1692 to Jean Demaree (Demarest), son of David Damaree and Maria Sohler; his 2nd wife.

2. Jacobus Pieters Slodt , who was born February 1669 and married Maria Jean Demarest Slodt
3. Tryntje Pieters Slodt , who was born August 1671 at New York City and died about 1709 at 38 years of age. She married 08 May 1691 Nicholas Laschere. Baptized on 06 August 1671. First Residence New York City[2]
4. Antje Pietersen Slodt Demarest/Hart , who was born 1674 and married David Jean Demarest .
5. Belitje Pieters Slodt Van Orden/Banta, who was born 15 September 1678 and married Adam <Jan> Van Orden
6. Jonas Pieters Slodt , who was born September 1681 and married Jannetje Jans Oosteroom Slodt

Pieter Jansen Slot married Marretje Jacobse Van Winkle, daughter of Jacob Wallings Van Winkle and Tryntje Jacobs. Their marriage took place on Jan. 2, 1663 at New Amsterdam. Marrejte's father and uncle would later become two of the 14 partners in the Acquackanonk Patent (Passaic, Clifton, Paterson). After Pieter Jansen Slot's death, Marretje married Jean Demaree (Demarest), son of David Damaree and Maria Sohier.

Pieter Jansen Slot and Marretje Jacobse Van Winkle had at least seven children, including Styntje Slot; Jan Pietersen Slot, who married Janneke Andriansse; Arientje Slot; Jacobus Slot, who married Marretje Demarest, daughter of Jean Demaree and Jacominia Druens; Tryntie Slot, who married Klaes Lozier, son of Francois Lozier and Jannetje Hillebrants Pietersen; Abeltie Slot, who married Adam Jansen Van Orden; and Jonas Slot.
