Winona Republican-Herald, Wednesday, January 22, 1941; Page: 3 Obituary Death of Mrs. Paul Bambenek
Mrs. Paul Bambenek (Martha Malotka), 70, Lake boulevard, died at 8 p. m. Tuesday at her home after an illness of three weeks. Her illness followed a fall three weeks ago.
Mrs. Bambenek was born in Poland May 12, 1870, and had resided here 53 years. She was s member of the Third Order of St Francis and of the Rosary and Sacred Heart societies of St. Stanislaus parish. Her husband and she operated a store at Mankato avenue and King street until nine years age when they moved to Lake boulevard.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, Joseph and Frank, at home and Felix, Winona; one daughter Frances, at home; two brothers John and Frank Malotka, Winona; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Meyers, Mrs. Anna Bambenek and Mrs. Stella Monahan, Winona, and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 9 a.m. at the St. Stanislaus church, the Rev. J. F. Cieminski officiating. Preliminary services will be conducted at the home of her son, Felix, 456 Mankato avenue, at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. The rosary will be said at the home of her son this evening and Thursday and Friday evenings at 7:30 o'clock.
