Biography

Martha was born about 1645.

On 1 July 1681 Martha was thirty-six years of age, when she swore an oath to witness to the last will of her husband Nicholas Cottrell. [1]
Her parents are unknown at this time.

Martha was the second wife of Nicholas Cottrell I, and is named in his will, probated in 1680. [2] It is unknown, whether she ever bore him any children. The children named in husband Nicholas Cottrell's last will and testament cannot be Martha's children, as they were all born when Martha herself was still under age, and not yet wed to Nicholas.

After Nicholas died she married secondly Walter Morey (or Merry) of Taunton.

Martha Cottrell passed away after 1680, perhaps on 6 November 1683
