Mrs. Martha Waters, Age 74, Dies; Services on Wednesday

Mrs. Harold (Martha W.) Waters, 74, of Markle, died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Caylor-Nickel Medical Center, where she had been a patient one day.

Born July 13, 1917 in Union Township, she was a daughter of Clyde and Celestia Leavengood Allen. Her marriage to Harold W. Waters, who survives, took place Sept. 12, 1947 in the Methodist parsonage at Markle.

Mrs. Waters was a 1935 graduate of East Union High School and a member of the Markle United Methodist Church and Needmore Home Ec. Club.

In addition to the husband, survivors include two sons, Greg K. Waters of Bluffton, and Wayne A. Waters of Markle; a brother, Ival Allen of Markle; a sister, Mary Mann of Huntington; and one granddaughter.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home at Markle, where services will be conducted by Dr. Norman Glassburn at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Markle Cemetery.

Preferred memorial gifts are to the Markle United Methodist Church.
