About Martin Meinhart

MARTIN MEINHART

Martin Meinhart, born in 1884, son of Joseph and Barbara (Mammoser) Meinhart, married Delphine Koebele in 1917 at Island Grove Church. Delphine, born in 1890, was the daughter of Stephen and Anna (Adams) Koebele. They lived on the Meinhart home place until they moved to Effingham in 1949. The Koebele and Adams families came to America from Alsace Lorraine. Martin and Delphine were the parents of four children. Giles, deceased, killed in action in World War II in Germany in 1944. Anna married Frank Dooling in 1947. Frank died in 1992. Dorothy "Dot" married Ben Pruemer in 1947. Ben died in 1988. The grandchildren of Martin and Delphine Meinhart are; Rita, Nancy and Timothy Dooling and Patricia and Eric Pruemer. Delphine died in 1952 and Martin died in 1963.

They are buried in St Anthony Cemetery, Effingham.
