Mary Ann married three times, all in Greene County, Indiana.

1st marriage: 26 April 1855 to Josiah Workman, son of John and Lucy Shields Workman. She and Josiah had four children, Sarah Jane, Margaret Alice, Josephine, and Henry J.

Sarah Jane later married her step-brother, John Calvin Holtsclaw. Margaret Alice married John Wesley Wells and moved to Kingman County, Kansas. Josephine died when 21 months old. Henry J. appears to have married a Louisa Randalls though no records of the marriage or further information have been found to date.

2nd marriage: 18 February 1868 to Martin Luther Holtsclaw, Jr., son of Martin Luther and Sally Parsons Holtzclaw, Sr. (Nancy Hammons Dover was Martin, Jr.'s step-mother.) Mary Ann and Martin had no children together.

3rd marriage: 27 November 1897 to Gordon Bailey.
