Mary (Hitchcock) Barnard was born on March 20, 1699 in Springfield, Hampshire County, Province of Massachusetts. Her parents were Ensign John Hitchcock, Jr. and Mary (Ball) Hitchcock.

Mary married Samuel Taylor on July 15, 1718 in Springfield, Hampshire County, Province of Massachusetts. Together they had the following children: Capt. Othniel Taylor; John Taylor.

Mary married Daniel Arms on September 21, 1737 in Deerfield, Franklin, MA, USA.

Mary married Ebenezer Barnard on August 20, 1754.

She died on June 17, 1781 in Charlemont, Franklin County, Massachusetts, United States and was buried in Old Cemetery.

Mary's tombstone indicates that she was in her 87th year when she died. If that is correct, she would have been born in 1694, not 1699.
