Biography
Mary Sherman was born 5 March 1656/7 in Watertown, Province of Massachusetts Bay to parents John Sherman and Mary Launce.[1][2]
She married on 26 May 1679 at Watertown, to Ellis Barron III, who was born at Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony on 22 Sep 1655.[3][4][5]
Their children (as listed by Jacobus) were:[4]

The marriage record cited for Mary Sherman and Ellis Barron incorrectly states Ellis had a second wife named "Sarah Ingersoll". See New England Marriages Prior to 1700, Clarence Almon Torrey, Baltimore Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc., Baltimore 1985, 7th printing, 2004, p. 46.
This error was corrected by Donald Lines Jacobus in a paper published by The American Genealogist.[4] This research proved that Mary Sherman survived long enough to be the mother of all the children of Ellis Barron III.
