Per "Whitfield, Bryan, Smith and related Families" by Emma Morehead Whitfield, this is the same Mary Bryan who married James Carney April 24, 1784, Craven County, North Carolina. More information is needed to confirm.
Note: please do not confuse this Mary Bryan with her cousin Mary Bryan Tisdale, wife of Col. Nathan Tisdale and daughter of John Council Bryan and (possibly) Mary Ann Fulford. Mary Tisdale died before her father, but her two daughters are mentioned in the 1807 will of John Council Bryan.
