Mary Ann White had been married twice, and widowed twice. She had 4 daughters by her first husband named Holmes and two daughters and five boys by Thomas Jester. Her White relatives seduced Thomas into bringing the family to Georgia from South Carolina. She died not long after the 1850 Census was taken.

"United States Census, 1830," index Henry Co GA [2] In the household of Ed and Jamima Wood : Males 1 under 5, 2 bet. 15-20, 1 bet. 20-30 Females, 2 under 5, 1 bet 20-30, 1 bet 50-60 I propose the 2 boys between 15-20 are Jamima's younger brothers, James (c. 1811) and Levi (c. 1814). The elder female would be Mary Ann White Holmes Jester c. 1775 according to 1850 Census.
