Biography

Mary Freeman was born about 1636, the daughter of Edmond Freeman who emigrated to New England on the ship Abigail in 1635, and his second wife Elizabeth ___. [1]

Mary married Edward Perry by about 1653, [1] in a ceremony of Friends. [2]

1653/4: March 4: Edward Perry was admonished by Governor Bradford of the Plymouth Court for his 'unorderly' marriage and was ordered to have this ratified by Mr. Prence. [2] [1] 1654: June 6: Edward Perry was fined 5L, for not having his marriage ratified before Mr. Prence. [2] [1] Her father Edmond Freeman's will, written on June 21, 1682 and proved Nov. 2, 1682, names his three 'sons', Edmond Freeman, John Freeman and Edward Perey, to be executors. [1]

Her husband Edward Perry, of Sandwich, Massachusetts wrote his will on Dec. 29, 1694. In it he names:
