About Mary Pickens
MARY SPOONER b. 1746 d. Nov. 26, 1809. She married Sept. 24, 1769 JOHN PICKENS son of Samuel and Matilda (Briggs) Pickens b. 1743 d. July 31, 1825. He is buried in Acushnet Cemetery, Britol Co. Massachusetts. History of New Bedford speaks of John Pickens as having been cashier of the Commercial Bank of New Bedford many years and says "He was an officer in the army of the Revolution and afterwards served the town in various offices. He was long esteemed for his piety integrity and exemplary life.

Thaddeus b July 9 1774 d July 1811. He was a master mariner sailed from Boston and was lost at sea. He married Peace Bennett b. 1777 d. Mar. 7, 1812

John b. Mar. 27, 1779 d. Nov 1868. He was for many years, a merchant in Boston. He retired from business wealthy and lived in retirement during the last years of his life
