Biography

Mary Louise Prudehomme (LaFite) was born in 1824 in Natchitoches, Natchitoches, Louisiana, United States and was baptized on October 2, 1826, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Her parents were Francois Emanuel Lafitte and Marie Salome LaFitte.

Mary married Cesaire Joseph Prudhomme on April 21, 1838 in De Soto Parish, LA, United States. Together they had the following children:

• Joseph Alexis Prudhomme;
• John Bishop Prudhomme;
• Marie Louise Prudhomme;
• Mary Arsene Prudhomme.

She died in 1880 in Frierson, De Soto, Louisiana, USA, and was buried in Stonewall, De Soto Parish, Louisiana, United States of America.
