ELIZABETH (BOBO) SKELTON

(born in 1757 - died abt 1827)

Elizabeth (Bobo) Skelton was born in 1757 in Culpeper County, Virginia. She was of French descent and the daughter of Lewis Bobo and Sarah "Sally" (Solomon) Bobo. The French spelling of Bobo was Baeubeau or Beaubeaux.

Elizabeth married Robert Skelton, Sr. in 1771 in Old 96 Dist., Union County, South Carolina.

Elizabeth and Robert Skelton, Sr. had the following children:

• 1. LEWIS SOLOMON SKELTON (a son, William Hiram Skelton, his son, John Nelson Skelton, his son, John Hubert Skelton, his son Hubert Raymond Skelton and his son, Duane Skelton (Info from Duane Skelton)
• 2. Sampson Skelton
• 3. Jeremiah Bobo Skelton 
• 4. Robert Skelton, Jr.
• 5. Rhesa "Reesy" Skelton
• 6. Mary Skelton
• 7. Johnathon Skelton
• 8. Sarah Skelton NOTE: Not sure if this child belonged to Robert and Elizabeth Skelton or to Solomon and Mary Skelton
• 9. William M. Skelton

Elizabeth (Bobo) Skelton died in 1827, either in Georgia or Madison County, Alabama.
