Obituary-Amherst Bee-8/8/1901 Mary E. Summey

       At Athol Springs, NY, Tuesday, August 6, 1901, after a long and severe illness, occurred the death of Mrs. Mary E Summey, wife of George B. Summey, aged 57 years. She was one of a family of eleven children, the daughter of the late David and Mary Long. She was born at Williamsville, and was married to Mr Summey nearly thirty-nine years ago. She was a devoted wife and the mother of six children, five of whom survive her-Elmer, Charles, Albert, David, and Etta-wife of Charles Mueller of Wichita Kan.; also six brothers and three sisters. Her health failed her several years ago, and for the past year she had been confined to her bed much of the time. The funeral is held today at 2:00 P.M., from the Mennonite church in this village.
