Mary Wells formerly Perkins
Disputed Origins
David W. Hoyt[1] indicated that Mary might have been the daughter of John Perkins. Hoyt noted on page 282, "The various branches of the Perkins family have been carefully studied in order to find the parentage of Mary Perkins, b. ab. 1652, who m. in 1669-70, Rev. Thomas Wells, first minister of Amesbury." He then listed other Perkins families he had considered. On page 283 he wrote: "We have found no direct proof that she was dau. of Quartermaster John, but there seems to be no other family to which she could have belonged, unless there is the possibility of her belonging to a Dover or Cape Porpoise branch of the Perkins family. Rev. Thomas Wells is known to have been living in Wells in Dec., 1669; but his marriage seems to have taken place in Ipswich the next month." The Great Migration profile for John Perkins lists no daughter Mary, so she has been detached from him and his wife Elizabeth. Please DO NOT re-attach them without new documentation.

Lists Mary as daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth.
Mary b. 14 May, 1658 m. John Annable.
If the above is correct, she could not be this Mary.
Mary Annable was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth,
