About Maud Mathilda de Avebury
Maud (Matilda) Of Avenbury (sometimes listed as Avebury).
Second wife of Humphrey de Bohun and mother of John de Bohun of Haresfield.
Some sources say that she was the daughter of Roger de Tosny/Toeni (who died in 1264), though Charles Cawley's MedLands database lists her with unknown parents. This would also be strange since this Roger de Tosny married her older half-sister Alice, and so this scenario seems unlikely.
MATILDA de Avenbury, daughter of --- (-Sorges, Gascony 8 Oct 1273, bur Sorges, transferred 1290 to Lanthony Priory, Gloucester). A manuscript which narrates the descents of the founders of Lanthony Abbey records that “Humfredus quintus de Bohun” married secondly “Matildem de Avenbury”, adding that she died 8 Oct 1273 “apud Sorgee in Gasconia” where she was buried, her son transferring her body to Lanthony 17 years after her death[474]. A manuscript in Aske´s collections names “…Matildae of Avenburi Countes, wiff of the seid Humfre the second…” among those buried at Lanthony Priory[475] (http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/ENGLISH%20NOBILITY%20MEDIEVAL.htm)
