Note 1: After the death of Maulai Abdullah, (c. 536 AH/ c. 1141 AD), the 1st Wali-ul Hind (“representative in India”), Sayyidna Ad-Dai' Zoeb bin Sayyidi Musa al-Waadi'i appointed Maulai Yaqoob bin Maulai Bharmal as the 2nd Wali-ul Hind of the Fatimid Da'wat, the 1st such Wali of Indian descent. He was son of Maulai Bharmal, minister of Rajput king Siddhraja Jaya Singha (Anhalwara, Patan) (487-527 AH/ 1094-1133 AD).

The king sent his soldiers to get Maulai Abdullah, but they could not reach him as they saw a wall of fire created around him. The king himself went to Maulai Abdullah and was so impressed with his thoughts that he, along with his ministers, the brothers, Maulai Bharmal & Maulai Tarmal, and their fellow citizens freely accepted Islam and the Waqt-e-Imaam. Maulai Fakhruddin, son of Maulai Tarmal was sent to western Rajasthan (Galiakot), India for proselytizing. Maulai Fakhruddin was killed in Galiakot, Rajasthan by aboriginal highwaymen (bhil) while returning from Moharram lectures on the martyrdom of Imaam Husain bin Maulana Ali.

Note 2: Sayyidi Fakhruddin Shaheed was the son of Maulai Tarmal. He was taught and trained by Dai'-ul Hind Maulai Abdullah himself. Sayyidi Fakhruddin was a Rajput and knew very well the local Rajasthani language and culture. Dai' Maulai Abdullah was keen to spread the Ismaili faith outside Gujarat. So he assigned Sayyidi Fakhruddin the responsibility to propagate the mission in the Waghar region of Rajasthan. Since he was from a royal family and had left the comfort and luxury of the royal palace and had come out in public in absolute simplicity and also because he was sincere and committed, he soon became popular. In the month of Muharram ul-Haraam in the year of 517 AH (1123 AD) he recited the Majlis-e-Husain at Galiakot, Rajasthan and when he was returning to Sagwara, he was attacked by a band of local dacoits (bhil-kolis) on the outskirts of Galiakot. He was a Rajput from a ruling class and hence he was a valiant soldier. He and his companions fought with the dacoits with much courage and valor. He fought till he was martyred. He was buried in Galiakot itself. He was the first martyr from the progeny of Maulai Tarmal.

Note 3: Sayyidi Fakhruddin Shaheed bin Maulai Tarmal was sent to the towns in the district of Waghar by his cousin, Maulai Yaqoob bin Maulai Bharmal, the 2nd Wali-ul Hind to spread "Da'wat'. In the month of Muharram ul-Haraam, he held Imaam Husain's waiz and accepted the waajebat of mo'mineen in Galiakot. On the 27th of Muharram ul-Haraam 517 AH (2nd April 1123 AD) he left Galiakot, but was attacked by bandits (bhil) near a lake. Inspite of putting up a bold front, he was slain. He is a personage of mojizaat who is able to overcome any difficulties. Due to the barakaat of his and ancestors khidmat he was blessed with hudood-e-kiraam in his progeny.
