Also surviving are one daughter, Ingrid L. (Donald) Baker; one son, Melvin J. Latta, (Lisa) Jr.; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one sister, Catherine Charles.

Two sisters, two sons, one granddaughter and one great grandson preceded him in death.

He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad as a Brakeman and Conductor for over forty years.

He served in the Navy during World War II.
