Biography

"Michel Poirier figurait parmi les premiers colons de Beaubassin, où il est décédé. Son fils Michel, né vers 1674, s'est marié vers 1698 à Madeleine Bourgeois, fille de Germain Bourgeois et de Madeleine Dugas. Michel et Madeleine ont eu treize enfants"≤ref> (Poirier)≤/ref>
Michel Poirier was the son of Michel Poirier, one of the first Acadiansettlers in Beaubassin. He was born around the year 1674, and in about 1698 married Madeleine Bourgeois. She was the daughter of Germain Bourgeois and Madeleine Dugas. Michel and Madeleine had thirteen children.

His death date is unknown, but was possibly around 1752.
