Mildmay Fane, 2nd Earl of Westmorland (24 January 1602 – 12 February 1666) was an English nobleman, politician, and writer.

• ' Mildmay Fane, 2nd Earl of Westmorland was born on 24 January 1601/2 at Mereworth, Kent, England.2 He was the son of Francis Fane, 1st Earl of Westmorland and Mary Mildmay. He married, firstly, Grace Thornhurst, daughter of Sir William Thornhurst and unknown Howard, on 6 July 1626.1 He married, secondly, Mary de Vere, daughter of Horatio de Vere, 1st and last Baron Vere of Tilbury and Mary Tracy, on 21 June 1638 at Hackney, London, England.2 He died on 12 February 1665/66 at age 64.2
• He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1619 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peterborough between 1620 and 1622.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peterborough in 1626.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 1 February 1625/26.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peterborough from 1628 to 1629.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Prince of Wales's Regiment of Horse.1 Between October 1642 and April 1643 at Tower of London, The City, London, England, he was imprisoned.1 He raised a volunteer Troop of Horse for King Charles II.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire between 1660 and 1665, jointly.1
