Minos Cannon American Revolutionary War Vet
Minos Cannon b.1756, d. Jan 11, 1832, in Williamson Co., Buried at the Old Cannon Place, College Grove, Williamson, TN., m. 1780 Letitia Thompson, b Aug 29, 1753 Guilford Co., NC. Revolutionary War service records state the Minos Cannon served in Patterson's Bttn. "Flying Camp" in the DE troops. Minos and Letitia came to the Cumberland settlements soon after the Revolutionary War, but returned to NC after a short time. Later they returned in 1790 to Middle TN. They were the parents of Newton Cannon, b 1781 and Robert Cannon, b. 1790. They lived in an area which was once Rutherford Co. but later became Williamson Co. near Triune.
