Nahama Devora Starkovitch

Apparently the first two children were born to her older sister, though no details have been found yet! I now think that the older sister is a myth!!!! It transpires from the 1911 census that Maurice was the eldest, and her picture was part of one he had taken "with his mother".

In the photo of Manne and Ester by Nahama's grave apparently the inspription in hebrew reads that she was the daughter of Issachal Dov.

My mother was named after her!

We had always been told that she died when my grandfather was 13, his father having died when he was 3. However I think it was the other way round and Nehama died when he was 3, as I haven't found any records fore her. However there is a record of Aryeh being on the voters list in 1903, age 65!
