Mother Nalapat Kalliani Kutty (Kochu Amma) Father Chittanjoor Valiya Kunjunni Raja Thampuran sister Nalapat Balamani Amma Uncle Nalapat Narayana Menon A staunch Gandhian and follower of Sarvodaya movement Ammini Amma as a teenager had donated all her gold ornaments to Mahathma Gandhi when he came to Guruvayur. Unlike her sister Balamani Amma , she gave less importance to Literature and more importance to uplifting of her village by various social activities. Yet she found time to write and publish a few books for children. Her biography Anpe Sivam is very simple and hearttouching. It was her passion to cultivate Ayurvedic herbs in her garden and apply the medicines whenever needed to her household.
