Her father, Benjamin Lemasters moved to Nicholas county in 1789 or 90 and bought land in Bucks Garden where he reared a family of ten children --all daughters--the last surviving one being Rebecca. All the girls married in this and adjoining counties, and left behind a numerous progeny, highly respected. Mrs. Boggs was born on the same farm purchased by her father.
