About Olavi Enzio Wilhelm Malmberg
Olavi Enzio Wilhelm Malmberg (19. kesäkuuta 1893 Helsinki – 31. heinäkuuta 1920 Helsinki) oli suomalainen kirjailija, joka käytti kirjailijanimiä Olli Malmberg ja Olli Mala.
Olavi Enzio Wilhelm Malmberg ( June 19, 1893 in Helsinki - July 31, 1920 in Helsinki) was a Finnish author who used the names Olli Malmberg and Olli Mala.
Olavi Malmberg's parents were lecturer Emil Othniel Malmberg (1863–1952) and his first spouse was the author Aino Malmberg os Perenius. His older brother was Lieutenant General Lauri Malmberg .
Malmberg became a student in 1912 and then began his career as a writer. He made several trips to England and from there sent articles to several newspapers in Finland and America. In 1915, Malmberg participated in the activities of the jazz movement and then had to hide under a false name in Finland until the March Revolution of 1917. Malmberg suffered from lung disease for eight years and died in late July 1920 at the age of 27.
Malmberg's debut work, children's photography Street Boys was also translated into English and Russian. In the book With a False Passport, Malmberg told about his travels in Finland and Sweden during the First World War as a jazz movement. Malmberg's last remaining book was the attention-grabbing novel Dilta Hiltunen Surrenders to the Whirlwind of Life , which was published by Christmas 1919.
