Skolmästare i Luleå 1722-1735, senare komminister i Burträsk sn 1735-1752. Kyrkoherde i Nederkalix församlin 1779-1804. Såsom komm. i Skellefteå ifrade han särskildt för barnens vaccinering. Då S. Liljeblad på sin återresa från lappmarken 1788 gästade Neder-Kalix prästgård, skref han i sin dagbok om prosten: »En värdig och hederlig prästman; ägde en talrik familj, har haft 20 barn med en hustru, 11 lefva».
