- MY "TWO CAMPBELL LINE" THEORY http://jamesrobinson.biz/campbell/TwoCampbells.html. Some have said that all the Campbells in old Clay County, KY (present day Breathitt and Perry Counties), are from one family, a set of brothers, John, William, and Zach Campbell. These were purported to be all sons of Patrick Campbell and Elizabeth James. I disagree with this theory and present evidence to support my theory that John and William, sons of Patrick were one family and another John Campbell, who may or may not have been called Zack or Zachariah is the progenitor of an entirely different line of Campbells William and John (who I will call John #1), sons of Patrick settled in southeastern Clay County, KY near Campbells Bend. John Campbell (who I will call John #2), settled in northwest Clay County near Haddix, just south of present day Jackson, KY. http://jamesrobinson.biz/campbell/Two_Campbell_Lines_Part1.doc, http://jamesrobinson.biz/campbell/Two_Campbell_Lines_Part2.doc
