Paul Mason Holtsclaw, 74, Bloomfield, died Friday, December 19, 1997 at Greene County General Hospital.

Born March 28, 1923, in Center Township, Greene County, IN, he was the son of Benjamin Wiley and Estella Esther Hardisty Holtsclaw.

He was a retired supervisor in the ordnance department at NSWC Crane. He was a lifetime member of Worthington American Legion Post #106 and Worthington V.F.W. Post #7118. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his friend, Pearl Rollins of Bloomfield; three brothers, William "Bill" Wesley (Lela) Holtsclaw and Earnest Benjamin "Benny" (Ruth) Holtsclaw, both of Bloomfield, and Ivan Bernard (Anita) Holtsclaw of New Orleans, LA; one sister, Viola Gertrude (John) Hecke of Ft. Wayne; one son, Michael Paul Holtsclaw of Linton; one grandson, Jason Holtsclaw of Bloomington; one granddaughter, Mary Beth Query of Bloomfield; grandson-in-law, Tom Query of Bloomfield; daughter-in-law, Judy Holtsclaw of Linton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were 2 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 1997 at Jenkins Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial was in Ridgeport Cemetery.
