[v17t0595.ftw] Perez Bonney was born in Pembroke, Plymouth County, Massachusetts in 1709. He was the son of John Bonney and Elizabeth (Bishop) Bonney. He was baptized at Pembroke on April 12, 1713. In 1739, Perez married Ruth Snow, the daughter of James Snow and Ruth (Shaw) Snow. On March 10, 1760, Perez Bonney of Pembroke, yeoman, sold land to Ichabod Bonney and two lots to David Magoon. The will of Perez Bonney of Goshen was dated June 12, 1787 and sworn on July 6, 1792. It gives his 4 sons; Perez, Titus, Jairus, and Asa all his estate in Cornwall and Goshen. His son Joel was to get 30 pounds "if he shall see cause to come for it". His daughter Celia was to have a room in the house if she never married. On March 10, 1760, Peres Bonney "of Pembroke, yeoman", sold land in Pembroke to Ichabod Bonney and two lots to David Magoon. On April 12, 1760 Peres Bonney "of the Town of Pembroke and Couny of Plymouth in Providence of Massachusetts Bay" for 168 pounds purchased 125 acres in Goshen, Litchfield County, Connecticut located "on Cornwall line" from Rachel Harris (Goshen Deed Book 4, page 21). On April 28, 1760 Peres Bonney "of the Town of Pembroke in County of Plymouth, Providence of Massachusetts Bay" for 150 pounds purchased 103 acres "on Great Hill" in Cornwall, Litchfield County, Connecticut from Rachel Harris (Cornwall Deed Book 2, page 151). On July 3, 1760, Peres moved his family from Pembroke to Cornwall, where he lived for six years. By building a home on another part of his land, he later became a resident of Goshen. On April 14, 1768 Peres Bonney purchased land in Goshen from the Proprietors of Goshen (Goshen Deed Book 5, page 30). On February 12, 1773 Peres Bonney purchased 42 3/4 acres in Goshen w. College Farm on Cornwall line from Gideon Hurlbutt (Goshen Deed Book 5, page 185). On June 8, 1773 Peres Bonney purchased 8 acres of undeveloped land in Goshen from Elisha Tuttle (Goshen Deed Book 5, page 343). The will of Peres Bonney of Goshen was dated June 12, 1787 and sworn on July 6, 1792. It gave his four sons; Peres, Titus, Jairus, and Asa all his estate in Cornwall and Goshen.
