About Peter Dierdorff

I don't know anything about Milo. He is not in Chester A. Peters book about the Dierdorff family. He is not with Peter and Anna Dierdorff in any census. He is not listed in Peter Dierdorff's Bible on the "births" pages.

Sarah Ann Zinn was supposedly adopted by the Dierdorff family. She is buried near them. Nicholas Zinn was guardian of the estate of Anna Dierdorff a minor orphan child of David Wohlgemuth/Wolgamuth of Dover Township, York County, PA. An account was filed in York, PA, 5 May 1827.

In his Bible, Peter made note that his mother, Margaret, was the SECOND wife of his father, Andrew Dierdorff. He gives her birth date 15 October 1773. If this is correct, she was not likely the mother of the first three children of Andrew: Salome "Sally" Dierdorff, b. 28 Sep 1784 (married Jacob Altland), Elizabeth Dierdorff, b. 3 June 1786 (married John Altland) and Jacob Dierdorff b. 3 Jan 1790 (married Rebecca Leas).
