Notes for PETER HUFF: History of Wyoming county, VA, it says that in 1777, John Cooke, James Hines, Thomas Calfee, Peter Huff and Thomas Huff pursued a band of thieving Mingo Indians from the falls of New River and into Logan County in an attempt to recover 20 stolen horses.

1774 Captain John Lewis's company of Volunteers from Botetourt Co. VA at Point Pleasant on the Ohio River, his is listed as a Sergeant.
