Peter John Pennanen, 68, resident (this part is obscured by the crease) died in hospital here Sunday morning after a six months illness. His home was at Intola, where he had been postmaster for 29 years. Born in Finland, Mr. Pennanen came to Canada 38 years ago and settled immediately in this district. He farmed for a time and also carried out small construction contracts. He was a member of the Finnish Lutheran Church. Surviving are four daughters, three grandchildren and one brother, Gust of North McIntyre Township. Daughters are Martha, at home; Gertrude, Mrs. I. Hankkio, Intola; Lempi, Mrs. John Huikara, Port Arthur; and Toini, Mrs. A. Erickson. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with a service at the Chapel, 299 Arthur Street, and burial will be in Intola Cemetery. Rev. J.E. Nopola, Finnish Lutheran Church, will officiate.
