Notes: He is recorded as one of the children of Petrus Johannes Redelinghuyson the latter's death notice of 1848. The marriage is from the register of the Groote Kerk, Cape Town. All other information on him and his wife comes from the manuscropt of JHR de Smidt, a great nephiew.

No children noted in the De Smidt manuscript family register.

Petrus Johannes Redelinghuys [the elder presumably] and his wife were interred in the family vault of the Botha family, Dutch Reformed Cemetery in Cape Town [as also of his son] Petrus Johannes and his wife. These were transferred to the Maitland Cemetery and re-interred in the Botha plot where Mr C. Graham Botha is having a suitable monumental slab prepared on which all names and dates will be recorded.
