Will ===18 Feb 1624 “I Philip Slocombe of Gotehurst in the countie of Somersett yeoman ... to the cathedrall church of welles Foure pence ... I give to my sonne Gyles Slocombe three poundes, ... I give unto my childethat my wife now goes with if it live and survive Eight Poundes ... to be putt to intreast ... untill they come to the Age of one and twenty yeares ...” The remainder was to his wife Charitie named executrix. Richard Linham, Aldred Bickham, John Studdier, and William Bickham, my brothers in lawe to be my overseers.
