"Aged Settler Died Here Sunday Morning"
Peter SZATKOWSKI, 73 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Martin LAKE, Wickham's Addition, Sunday morning at 4:15. Mr. SZATKOWSKI was born in Germany, June 27, 1848 and came to this country with his wife in 1872. They came to Wood Co. 45 years ago and settled on a farm in the town of Sigel. His wife preceeded him in death ten years ago.
He leaves 6 sons, Tom, John, and Joe of Wisconsin Rapids, Nick and Leo of Milwaukee and William of Racine, and two daughters, Mrs Martin LAKE of the city and Margaret of Milwaukee. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Elizabeth SZCZESKY, Pauline SANDOWSKI, and Josephine JAZDZEWSKI of Milwaukee.
The funeral will take place Wednesday morning at 8:30 from the home and 9:00 from St. Lawrence Catholic CHurch, Rev. Ciszewski officiating. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
