R' Asher Anshel Wahrman

Anshil (Asher), son of R' David and whose mother was Rekhl, daughter of R' Avraham Rekhlis, was born on the sixth day of Adar 1771 in Nadvorne. Asher Anshil, was a man of his word, hence his nickname, Wahrman, later became his surname. He was a descendent of the Marshah.

R' Asher was a great scholar and a merchant, a distinguished citizen in his land. Source
